Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his unique blend with soul-jazz R&B as well as R&B. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Sunshine has performed anywhere. Sunshine has the name Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by playing the piano and singing in church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her musical path in the Atlanta's R&B culture. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. Her role was as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the play's theatrical version of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform during the President's 2008 inauguration.
