Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer from Newark New Jersey on 9th August 1963. The parents of her are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. The mother of Whitney Houston and her daughter began to sing professionally together in the church of New Hope Baptist of Newark when Whitney was only 15 years old. They performed the back vocals for Chaka Khan's track from 1978 Im Every Woman. She continued to offer the backing vocals of Lou Rawls Jermaine Jackson and her own mother. She also did a brief stint as a model appearing on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. The high quality of her performance as the featured vocalist of New York funk group Material caught the eye of big record companies, like Arista who she signed her contract in 1982, where she stayed the rest of her life with them. Whitney Houston, her debut album, released in 1985 was the top-selling album of an unproven singer. My Love was her debut album. My Love was released in 1985 and became a number one smash. Album was sold out in US 3,000,000 copies before it went to 25,000,000 world-wide. The album earned her the first in her 6 Grammy Awards. The 1987 follow-up album Whitney featuring the hit songs Where Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built the foundation of her popularity, however it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the most successful artists in history. The Bodyguard's performance as a film and its soundtrack were not popular but her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and the accompanying album topped charts around the globe for several months. It was also in 1993 when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition artist and father of her sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Around this time when her well-documented drug use began and by 1996 she was a daily drug user.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she's more well-known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter as well as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. Her prior work has included NBC, CBS and other prominent channels. She also produces certain shows on CNN's weekends including Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Bash is a recipient of many honors and awards. Elle magazine once listed Bash on the Women in Washington Power List. Her incredible anchoring and reporting capabilities are well-respected by numerous journalists. Also, she's a lovely mom to her son despite having graduated from George Washington University.
