Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California has an affluent family background. Their father Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the proprietor of the Lakers and other businesses related to sports. She felt abandoned emotionally when her parents separated in 1972. At the age 19 she became the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before being elected Vice President for the Lakers. Buss was the father of her deceased father in 2013, as did the Lakers were inherited from him by Buss and her five siblings via an inheritance trust. Each of the siblings had an equal number of votes. She assumed her duties as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling group).
